Age Group Configuration

Age groups let you create separate divisions based on bowler age — commonly used for Senior tournaments with divisions like 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65+.

Enabling Age Groups

In tournament setup, toggle Enable Age Groups. This reveals the age group configuration section where you define your divisions.

Defining Groups

For each group, specify:

  • Group Name: e.g., "Super Senior", "Senior", "Adult"
  • Minimum Age: The youngest age for this group
  • Maximum Age: The oldest age for this group (leave blank for open-ended)

Per-Group Handicap Overrides

Each age group can have its own handicap percentage and maximum handicap, overriding the tournament-wide settings. This lets you give older divisions a higher handicap percentage for more competitive balance.

Assigning Brackets to Age Groups

When setting up brackets, you can assign each bracket to a specific age group. Only bowlers in that age group will be placed into that bracket. Unassigned brackets accept bowlers from all age groups.

Registration

When registering bowlers, their age group is determined by their date of birth. The system automatically assigns them to the correct group based on the age ranges you defined.

Pro Tip

Set up your age groups before registering bowlers. That way, age group assignments happen automatically as you add entries.
